Sameera Bazaz is a successful Business strategist and operations specialist who worked in bringing expertise in business strategy, operations design and planning, financial analysis and customer and team training to the goal-oriented organization. She worked with many organizations around the world doing project definition and scope development, project planning and execution, proposal and RFP building, operations benchmarking, strategic sourcing and business plan/ case development.
Contributing to world’s largest database of business case studies of women, Ms. Bazaz served as the strategic advisor to The Hot Mommas Project and worked its way to success. She also teaches entrepreneurship and women’s business leadership at The George Washington University School of Business in Washington DC as a guest lecturer.
She also worked as a Global Vertical Lead and Senior Account Manager with FreeMarkets Inc. (now part of SAP). Here Ms. Bazaz was responsible for managing account of some of the renowned players in the aerospace and defense industries and instrumental in the development of the company’s new business models QuickSourceTM and DirectSourceTM. Prior to FreeMarkets Inc. she contributed in the healthcare industry by working at McKinsey and Co.
Sameera began her career in Corporate Tax Advising and Litigation Support at Price Waterhouse in Sydney, Australia, serving clients in the insurance, consumer products and manufacturing industries.
A B.Econ. (Economics and Accounting) and LLB (JD) from the University of Sydney, Ms. Sameera was awarded with the prestigious Price Waterhouse INSTEP Scholarship and was Vice President of AIESEC’s local chapter. She is a former CPA of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, and has an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where she graduated with First Year Honors.
